Pitbull, Ne-Yo Headline All-Star Halftime Show

Move over Mickey Mouse.

For once, the attention in Orlando isn't going to be surrounding the 25,000 acres of magic in Walt Disney World. The NBA All-Star Game is taking the spotlight for one weekend starting Feb. 24 and filling the City Beautiful with athletes, celebrities, and musicians.

Pitbull and crooner Ne-Yo are at the top of the musical guest list for the weekend, headlining the All-Star Game halftime show on Sunday, Feb. 26. They'll be hitting the court to perform their single "Give Me Everything." It's a fitting end for a year where Pitbull seemed to be on every record. You couldn't turn on the radio without hearing a Pitbull verse or song. He didn't even pick sides in the Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony divorce and was featured on records for both.

The Orlando music scene has buffed up since the Amway Center took over as the premiere event facility, overpowering and tripling the size of the old Amway Arena. But still, artists seem to bypass Orlando and make their way to Tampa or straight down to South Florida for their shows, leaving O-Town with a heavy underground music scene and local bands. But this weekend, that will change when Nicki Minaj, Mary J. Blige, Drake, Lil Wayne, Will.i.am, Flo Rida and more take over performing during All-Star Game introductions, singing the National Anthem, and hosting parties.

Although Orlando isn't known for it's celebrity presence (they even have a fake celeb cam at Orlando Magic games), it will be the center of attention this weekend. Hope the Mouse can handle it.
