Mary Elizabeth Winstead has been cast on the Cinemax drama pilot, "Quarry," opposite star Logan Marshall Green, TheWrap has learned exclusively.

"Arthur Newman" made headlines when it debuted last spring, but it wasn't for the film's onscreen coupling of Oscar-winner Colin Firth and rising star Emily Blunt. The media attention instead centered on an innovative marketing campaign driven by an odd couple pairing of a Hollywood studio and BitTorrent.

Hollywood's gamble on a crowded summer movie season chockablock with pricey tentpoles is paying off, with the box office running 12.7 percent ahead of last summer and on track to possibly break the all time summer record.
That $4.4 billion record was set in 2011; last summer the box office dipped back down to $4.29 billion. Legendary Pictures will decide whether to renew its relationship with Warner Bros. within 60 days, Legendary CEO Thomas Tull told reporters on Tuesday.
Tull praised the studio as a tremendous partner, but also said that both his company and the studio were in different places than when they started working together in 2004.

Wigs -- the top channel for scripted drama on YouTube -- in conjunction with Fox Broadcasting is bringing some of its most popular online series to Hulu in TV-length episodes, beginning with the popular Julia Stiles-starring "Blue," Wigs announced Tuesday.
The first two seasons of "Blue" launched on the streaming service Monday.

It has acquired the rights to the project, written by Dennis L. Baxter and produced by Baxter and 28 Entertainment's Jay Hoffman and Brian A.
