Bar owner Chris Ferrell has been charged in the shooting death of country musician Jerald “Wayne” Mills after the two got into a conflict at the Pit and Barrel in Nashville Nov. 23. Ferrell told police he shot Mills in self-defense after getting into an argument about his smoking inside the venue.
