Spaceship Earth has relaunched and reopened at Epcot, where the icon was rededicated Tuesday, March 4, 2008. And while it looks much like it did on the outside when Epcot opened in 1982, the inside has undergone dramatic changes since summer 2007, including an innovative ’interactive’ attraction with many new scenes, new costumes and set decorations, new lighting and special effects, a new musical score and narration, and a totally re-themed interactive post-show.

Is Sprint The World’s Most Hated Company?

Posted 6/8/2009 6:22:39 AM

by: Steven Samblis

That seems an awfully direct comment to make about any one company. As a matter of fact, at one time I would never think it possible to label a company as such... But Sprint has somehow raised the bar in the area of corporate disdain. As I started to research this story I was amazed by the passionate negativity current and x-Sprint customers shared with me. I was more amazed by the resounding “I hate Sprint”...mantra followed a myriad of stories on what Sprint did to people.

PREPARING LOBSTER - serving crustacean at home

Posted 4/24/2008 12:47:08 AM

by: Steven Samblis

Lobster, once the food of poor farmers, is now considered a special treat for many. Although some people prefer the meaty claws, I think that lobster tails are the best tasting part of this delicious creature. A great meal of lobster tails might seem like a gourmet feast to your guests, but they are actually quite easy to prepare. Add a little sprig of garnish and a fancy side dish and you’re sure to impress even your mother in law.

FOOD, INC. (Robert Kenner 2009)

Posted 6/29/2009 12:55:55 AM

by: Chris Knipp

The message of the new documentary FOOD, INC. is that most of what Americans now eat is produced by a handful of highly centralized mega-businesses -- a situation bad for our health, the environment, even our humanity. Eric Schlosser of FAST FOOD NATION and Michael Pollen of THE OMNIVORE’S DILEMMA make major contributions.

In the movie A Mighty Heart, Angelina Jolie delivers the most intensely stunning performance of her career. Jolie plays Mariane Pearl, wife of Daniel Perl who was the South Asia Bureau chief for the Wall Street Journal. In 2002 Daniel was kidnapped and later beheaded by radical Muslim extremist Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Everything about A Mighty Heart worked. Performances by Dan Futterman who plays Danny Pearl, Archie Panjabi playing Asra Nomani and Irrfan Khan as the Captain, grabbed the screen and would not let go.

The Guys’ Rules... Finally, the guys’ side of the story. We always hear "the rules" From the female side. Now here are the rules from the male side. These are our rules! Port Lucaya, Grand Bahama, Neverland Found

Posted 9/18/2006 8:02:00 PM

by: Atlantis Magazine

Peter Pan, the “man-boy” who refused to grow up, would have loved Port Lucaya. It’s not that they don’t take life seriously there. They do. They just do it with a certain style. Call it the “local default” that helps those who visit feel as if they are young again. With the laid back pace of the natives, time seems to slow down. There is no sense of urgency for the mundane. They’re not hectic folk, and in Lucaya the living is easy.
